Poor Pores

Everybody has something about their body they wish they could change every now and then. A little secret about me is I absolutely depise my pores. I feel like you can totally see them through my makeup and it bothers me the whole day. I invested in the Hard Candy Sheer Envy primer because its supposed to minimize your pores, but it just wasn’t enough. I decided I was going to try out a face mask (since I never have before) and give you guys an honest review over the product and let you know how it turns out.

The product I used is in the image above. I got it at Target for very cheap. I really wish I would’ve bought some cucumbers for this experiment, like in the cute little illustration. Be warned that this mask has a very strong smell, which isn’t pleasant. When I put it on my face it made my eyes water.

This effect made me worried about the harshness of this product. However, I continued to use it, because I REALLY hate my pores. I used my fingers to spread it on my cheeks, nose, and forehead, which is where my trouble areas are for my pores.

I only kept it on for a little while, because I started to feel a stinging on my cheeks. This honestly freaked me out. Like I said, I have never tried a face mask before and am very careful on what I put on my face. When the stinging started to occur, I was really alarmed. So after a few minutes I washed it off. When I looked at my face afterward, I was actually impressed by the results. My skin looked better. So the night after, I made the decision to try again.

This secone time, instead of using my fingers, I used a tongue depresser to spread the product on my face. It worked pretty well to control the mask and I could not stand the stickiness on my fingers. I dabbed it lightly first and then added another layer. My eyes watered and I felt the stinging again, but I decided to endure it.

(You can totally see me crying in this picture)

I kept the mask on for 15 minutes and washed it off with warm water. The warm water really eased the stinging and tightness left behind by the mask. I LOVED the results, even if it made me cry. It left my skin feeling relaxed and exfoliated. My skin looked to me very polished, and the size of my pores were visibily reduced. There was so much in the little face mask pouch, I have enough left for another treatment. That’s 3 uses out of one packet.

I wouldn’t recommend this product for people with sensitive skin. I don’t have sensitive skin, and the stinging was pretty intense at first. It wasnt drying or moisturing, which is exactly what I need. I think I will begin using this product once every 2 weeks.

Thank you so much for reading. I would like to post more reviews and things like this, so please let me know what you think! I hoped you found this helpful.
