Burnt Oranges

Alright, so Winter is here but that doesn’t stop us fashionistas from looking great. Taking pictures in the rain and cold is just part of the fun.

For this look, I wore a stunning burnt orange dress from Hollister. Burnt Orange is definitely becoming a color staple this season for me, and this dress is the perfect mix between girly and sporty.

As you can see here, it has this cute little lace up detail. This has been trending over the past few months, but for me, I do not like plunging necklines. That’s just me. But this dress has just the right amount of that lace up design that I don’t feel overexposed. The only thing about the dress I would change would be the sleeves. If this dress was long sleeved, it would be perfect.

I paired this dress with some super soft thigh high socks, tan midi boots from Forever 21 and a cute brown thrifted sweater for when the wind blew just a little too hard.

To get that cropped look we all love, I pulled the front and twisted the fabric. This created a little ball and I tucked that underneath the tightened sweater. This isn’t secure, but if you wanted to keep it cropped while walking around, a few safety pins will keep it in place. I can’t get over how this dress flares. It creates such a timeless silhouette. And the thigh high socks give the whole look a little hint of ballerina vibes.

(Candid shot lol)
