Warm Winter

The skies are gloomy outside and the wind has started to pick up. Hello Winter fashion! For this post I wanted to show you some fashion trends I’ve been seeing all over the place and also show some stuff I think SHOULD be trending.

First of all, everyone knows that boots are an absolute Must-Have for the cold season. I usually rock ankle booties, but this year I wanted to venture out with midi, knee high, and thigh high killer boots.

Both of these types of boots are leather. I hope to have a maroon pair of suede thigh highs soon but for now I have these, which I’m totally content with.

Sweaters are obviously a go to for the cold. We’ve seen all kinds of styles for sweaters in years past, like last year, which was the over sized sweater trend. That look is so perfect for comfy date nights to the movies or a coffee run, however this year I see (at least in my mirror) simple styles and simple silhouettes.

This sweater above is thrifted, and I love the fit of it. It is so comfy and and the slits, which you can slightly see in the sides, are so cute. It brings a nice swing to the silhouette. The colors are also very refreshing.

This outfit is honestly one of my favorites. I actually adore the crew neck style of this sweater, and layered over a monotone t-shirt adds a nice warming and color blocking effect.

Simple sweaters are very easy to find and easy to style. I feel like slim fit sweaters are more sophisticated than over sized ones, so these are perfect for fancy dinners, concerts, or work.

Am I the only one seeing sweat suits all over Instagram, or are we making our way back to 2010? Either way, I totally love it.

This look is perfect for winter. The cropped sweater is definitely back in, and mached with a cute pair of joggers, it really amps up the “I’m cute but not today” game. Or if you are one of those girls you goes to the gym, or one of those girls who -wishe- they went to the gym, THIS LOOK FOR YOU!

This is one of those styles that is easy to create, while feeling comfortable and fashionable simultaneously. The trick is to find a top that sinches at the wrist and pants that sinches at the ankles. This will give your body a form, preventing you from being swallowed by your clothing.
